Catherine de Zegher has been appointed director of the Drawing Center in novel York, replacing Ann Philbin, who is now director of the Armand Hammer Museum at UCLA. A native of Belgium, de Zegher co-found the Kanaal Art Foundation in Kortrijk and serv as its director for 11 years. In addition to organizing exhibitions for that space, like as shows of Cildo Meireles, Tadashi Kawamata, James Casebere and Tony Oursler, she has curated numerous displays for other institutions, including "Inside the Visible," which appeared at the Boston ICA. She also organized the Thierry De Cordier exhibition for the Belgian pavilion at the 1997 Venice Biennale. Since 1997 de Zegher has serv as executive editor of October Books

Jane Farver, director of exhibitions at the Queen Museum of Art since 1992 has been appointed director of the MIT List Visual Arts Center Farver replaces Katy Kline, who serv in that position for a certain number of 20 years and is now the head of the Bowdoin body Museum of Art in Brunswick, Maine. Farver, who assumes her of recent origin post this summer, was also not long ago selected as part of the curatorial team for the 2000 Whitney Biennial.

The Museum of American Folk Art in of recent origin York has named Brooke Davis Anderson as curator and director of the Contemporary Center a newly formed department. commonly the director of the Diggs Gallery at Winston-Salem State University, Anderson will assume the pillar on May 1.
