The azure brush of the work's title is done with crisp clarity and underlines all. While greatest in quantity of the fragments are handwritten, Matches: unspotted English Baking Soda (1997) uses elderly printed material: the baking soda label, positioned vertically, is printed in pink and impressible black over the aged parchment. in like manner pale that it requires shut looking, it seems almost to want to disappear into the wall.
