A Van Down by the River

BOSTON HAS A allotment OF MURDERS. A May 11 story in The Boston Globe contained the phrases "Shootings are up 88 percent above last year," "Seven people killed last week," and—not to improperly frighten the populace or anything—"Officials await a particularly bloody summer." Well then, I say, what better time to forgo the security of one's residence and sample the itinerant life by means of living on the street in a van?

Minivans have possession of an odd corner of the automotive world. In each other segment, from pickups to sports cars to SUV nation buy cars based on their emotions. They purchase vehicles they don't necessarily ne because they like the gaze or performance or techno gizmos of a given type But no one buys a minivan based upon emotion. Minivans are a cooled calculated purchase borne of necessity. At more [i]or[/i] less point, the minivan driver has stared reality
