Streetwise, book-smartI am torn above the controversy about "street literature" ["Taking It to the Street" July 2006] upon one hand, I'm happy to diocese so many African-Americans reading, on the other hand I'm disturbed about what we are reading. I'm bear uponed that we're glamorizing the actual issues we protest in popular tillage like gang violence, explicit sex physics and domestic abuse.
