Switzerland Purchases 186 Armored Vehicles From Haegglunds - SWEDEN

The Swedish Haegglunds Vehicle clump has announced an order from Switzerland for 186 CV 9030 armored vehicles. The order is worth about four billion Swedish Kronor (Euro 4761 million) and will confident the jobs of half of Haegglunds Vehicle's workforce for at least three years, according to Sweden's TT pres agency. Company spokesman Nils Hoernstroem indicated that had Haegglunds Vehicle failed to sure the order, approved by Switzerland's Federal Parliament, a certain quantity of 400 redundancies would have been inevitable. The Haegglunds CV 9030 light armored vehicles will be delivered to the Federal Republic between 2002 and 2005 Haegglunds Vehicle has further indicated that following the Swiss order, a Finnish order for 100 CV 9030 should shortly be signed and sealed.
