Cement: Holderbank Acquires 2.7% Of CimporThe Swiss Holderbank assemblage world leader in cement, has acquired a 27% stake in the leading Portuguese husbandman Cimpor. The Portuguese group, which is in the final agonys of privatisation, received a hostile takeover bid from Holderbank upon 15 June, in association with Cimpor's competitor and Portuguese number 2 Secil.
