Oracle Introduces Transportation Management SuiteWith its purchase of G-Log in 2005 Oracle acquired a logistics and transportation management software unravelling team—along with a suite of accompanying technology—that give leave tos users plan, optimize, execute and analyze the motion of goods across their stock chain. The suite also provides visibility into logistics data, the two in real time and in changing scenarios, of the like kind as when a shipment is delayed or incorrect. The Transportation Management suite also has a certain number of built-in workflow management tools that identify changes in stock chain workflow—late shipments and inventory availability, for example—and automation tools that help users to automate repeatable tasks.
