Must Linux Buy Its Way onto the Desktop?As you may know, Google is shut up to making a deal with glen in which the search giant will acquire to preinstall its software package upon Dell PCs. What you may not know is that Google may be spending a billion dollars above three years for the privilege. For cash-rich Google it's a cheap price to pay to chop Microsoft off at the knee through getting pride of place upon about 33 percent on all novel U.S. desktops. Microsoft is worried about this because, despite what we Linux users would like to think, the vast majority of users stick with the operating combination of parts to form a whole and applications that come upon their machines. If a dale PC comes with even a Google search tool bar and nothing other from Google, that will still permanently wound into Microsoft's plan to assist MSN with its own Microsoft Search Bar. What does that have to do with Linux? Everything. Microsoft may say that what extremitys up on the desktop is all about having the best outcomes but that's hooey. I don't say that as a Linux supporter, I say that as someone who knows in what way the desktop market works. greatest in quantity users, I'd say 80 percent stick with what advances on their desktop.
