Study: GM not a threat

A 10-year research looking at genetically modified (GM) harvests found no evidence that they herd out conventional ones. Indeed, reports Michael Crawley, a researcher at Imperial society in England, neither GM harvests nor conventional ones increased in significant numbers beyond their first plantings, and the modified harvests never lasted longer than conventional individuals

The study examined soybeans, oilseed rape, potatoes, corn, and sugar beets planted from se in 12 habitats around Britain. A consortium of biotechnology companies including Monsanto and Zeneca Ag proceedss financed it.
