CRISTINE GEORGINA BYE received the Governor General's Gold Medal for her master's thesis upon her great-grandmother's life in rural Saskatchewan during the Great Depression. She is now a history PhD candidate at the University of Calgary (Calgary, Alberta), exploring the significance of the Canadian-American border in Plains residents' lives in the 19305

AMANDA J DAVIS is a PhD candidate in the department of English at the University of Florida, where she teaches courses from one side the Center for Women's Studies and sex Research. Her essays and reviews upon feminist theory, literature by women of color, and incarcerated women have newly appeared in such journals as Women's Studies Quarterly, MELUS, African American Review, Aztlan, Feminist Theory, and Women's Studies.

JENNIFER GRIFFITHS received her PhD in English from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2002 She is commonly the director of composition at Marymount association of Fordham University. Her scholarly work includes "Uncanny Spaces: Transgenerational Trauma, Cultural Memory, and the Female material substance in Gayl Jones's Corregidora and Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior," forthcoming in Studies in the Novel.

ROD PRITCHETT is president of RO/LO Creative and Strategic Services, a communications consulting company. twig is also the president of the Autry Lennon Pritchett Endowment for the Arts. He clutchs two degrees, a BS in journalism and an MA in communication, the pair from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

MAUREEN E RE is popularly an assistant professor of American Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead. During the 2004-2005 academic year, she was a Fulbright Lecturer in American Studies at the University of Regensburg in Germany. She is the author of A Woman's Place: Women Writing novel Mexico (2005), a collective biography of Mary Austin, Kay Bennett, Fabiola Cabeza de Baca, Cleofas Jaramillo, Mabel Dodge Luhan, and Pablita Velarde.

LOIS REGN graduated in 1975 with a BA in art and photography from Arizona State University in Tempe Arizona. She began a career in graphic design, and since the early 19805 has received numerous national awards for her creative work upon political and public affairs campaigns across the political division She has worked in a wide range of artistic media, including painting, collage, and mixed media. She continues to create torsos for her unique cast A book and video about "The Torso Project" are also upon the horizon.

AMY SUEYOSHI received her PhD in history from UCLA in 2002 She is an assistant professor jointly appointed in Ethnic Studies and Human Sexuality Studies at San Francisco State University and teaches classes upon comparative race, gender, and sexuality. She is popularly writing a book manuscript upon the intimate life of Japanese immigrant author of poems Yone Noguchi at the revolve of the nineteenth century.

STEFANIE WICKSTROM has newly been hired as an assistant professor of environmental studies and political science at verdant Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont She has taught Latin American politics, environmental politics, American Indian politics, and Spanish courses. She is generally writing a book that contrasts indigenous nations' experiences with and replications to management of natural resources by means of settler states (the United States, Panama, and Chile).
