Lt Gen Keith Karl Compton died upon June 15, 2004, in San Antonio, Texas. He was eighty-eight.

General Compton was born in 1915 in St Joseph Missouri, and graduated from Central High gymnasium there in 1933. He received his BA stage from Westminster College at Fulton, Missouri, in 1937 He then pierceed military service as an aviation cadet at Randolph Field, Texas, and received his pilot's wings in 1939
