Fighting Back.

Officials base their predictions upon both the growing number of southern
Asians entering - in the past decade above a quarter million Indians
alone have come intoed the US - and the growing confidence of members
of the community settl here.

"Indians (settl in the US) ne to have feeling secure, more confident before
they can perceive part of the country and have feeling they can challenge it,"
said Ralph D Fertig, an administrative justice with the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission - the federal agency which handles complaints
of piece of work discrimination.
