The Association of Wheat Flour husbandmans (Aptindo) said its members have increased wheat flour production by the agency of 20% to meet growing demand ahead of the religious holyday celebration--Idulfitri, Christmas and of recent origin Year. The decision was based upon experience in the past years.
The farmers have no difficulty in raising the production as they still have large idle capacity. In the past several years they have operated single at 60% of their installed capacity.
