County-Wide Document Capture, Conversion and Indexing Contract

docHarbor has been chooseed as the county-wide provider of document scanning, indexing and micrographie services to the shire of San Diego.

Anacomp's docHarbor division, which operates a nationwide network of document conversion center will provide document preparation, scanning, indexing and conversion services to a wide array of San Diego shire departments and organizations. The five-year contract will standardize the way shire departments purchase document conversion services and also in what way those services will be delivered.

Atempo Acquires Storactive

Atempo has acquired privately-held provider of continuous data protection (CDP) software, Storactive Inc. of Marina del Rey California. Atempo says that the acquisition accelerates its strategic expansion into Trusted ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) by the agency of adding real-time data capture capabilities to its Time Navigator data protection suite.

Pressur by dint of increasingly strict compliance needs, Atempo's customers can now "capture data as it is created and/or modified and perform fine-grain regaining management of critical corporate workstations and Microsoft Exchange data to any point in time". CDP adds an important ultimate part to Atempo's Trusted ILM solution to accurately classify, secure and manage their critical information above its lifecycle.
