Valuing arts and culture: a research agenda for contingent valuation.(Column)In this article, I introduce a burgeoning literature in cultural studies--contingent valuation of arts and culture--and frame the research in a general policy setting. In 2002 alone, above twenty-one studies applying contingent valuation methodology (CVM) to value arts and cultural resources were published.
