Efficiency of collective moose hunting in a forest-taiga zone of Russia.

ABSTRACT: We discuss issues of hunting moose by coordinated drives by means of various-sized hunting groups in the Kirov region. We report the optimum size of a hunting brigade, its advantages above hunting by individuals or through small groups, and the opportunity for selective harvest through sex and age classes.
