from the editorI HAVE GREATLY be delighted withed being your Editor-in-Chief of the journal of Engineering Technology for the past sum of two units years. The highly qualified match reviewers, fellow board members, and authors of the many quality manuscripts submitted for review have made my bourn as Editorin-Chief exceptionally rewarding. Although there will shortly be a new Editor-in-Chief of the journal (as well as a scarcely any other Board member changes), the quality and goals of the Journal in serving the Engineering Technology Division of ASEE will remain unchanged. The Journal is committed to continually improving quality, tirelessly seeking scholarly contributions to our profession, and providing publications that add knowledge and share creative ideas and innovations in the education and practice of engineering technology. Your of recent origin Editor-in-Chief will be Dr. Niaz Latif, from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. The first journal publication below Dr. Latif's leadership will be a "special focus" issue in Fall 2005 that will highlight graduate education in engineering technology. The Fall 2005 issue will feature a commentary from visitor editor Dr. Albert L. McHenry of Arizona State University East, in addition to papers upon subject areas such as graduate program curricula, web-based graduate programs, specialized graduate programs, and common issues and concerns relating to graduate education in engineering technology. The Fall 2005 issue will also include papers upon a variety of topics of interest to our community as well as the annual Engineering Technology Education Bibliography. The Journal Board is fortunate to have many papers soon in peer review; however, we actively encourage authors to submit their scholarly manuscripts through the requirements shown in this issue. The Board will do everything possible to leadership the necessary peer reviews and provide timely answers to authors concerning the status of their manuscripts. Please note that we are in the proces of updating and expanding our base of compeer reviewers, and I invite you to join in service with us by dint of contacting Dr. Latif about opportunities for compeer reviewers along with your area of expertise. In closing, I would like to expres my thanks to our readers and advertisers for their continued support of the Journal of Engineering Technology. I encourage readers to share knowledge gained from the Journal and engage in discussion of topics and papers with your colleagues, and I ask companies and educational institutions to maintain ongoing advertisement in support of this true important medium. If you have any questions about in what manner advertising in the Journal can benefit you, please contact Dr Walt Buchanan.
