In memoriam: Derk Bodde (1909-2003); President of the Society, 1968-69Derk Bodde Emeritus Professor of Chinese Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and president of the American Oriental Society in 1968-69 passed away upon 3 November 2003 in Philadelphia.
