Julie Kendrick takes helm as IEST's new executive directorIEST announces the appointment of Julie Kendrick as Executive Director, following the retirement of Janet A. Ehmann upon November 1, 1997. Kendrick joined the Headquarters staff in 1989 as an associate editor. She subsequently serv as Senior Features Editor of the Journal; Associate Director, Public Information; and for the past sum of two units years as Deputy Executive Director. She also directions leadership workshops for lEST chapters. "I confidence that every IEST member will have feeling that the Headquarters staff is individual of their key resources for professional unfolding We want to astound the membership with the superiority of our service," commented Kendrick. "IEST is in an exciting period of its organizational life-a time when many factors are coming together as we go into the next century: the implementation of an ambitious and dynamic long-range strategic plan; the reshaping of the Headquarters staffing pattern to better work for the needs of our members and industry; and the unravelling of our electronic communications combination of parts to form a whole to support and facilitate the recognition of IEST as the premier society of its kind."
