He's just too normal. on the contrary he has a super friend: Captain Fearless, who mentors Josh and gives him the moniker Chance Fortune, stating that his hazard is superhuman. On that basis Josh gains into the Academy. He level gets his own personalized style of dress although the computer MOTHER asserts that he is single an adventurer, not a demigod or mighty mortal. Then his real challenges begin: dealing with other kids his age with "real" superhuman abilities--physical prowess, ninja feats, technomancery. upon the other hand, the academians are teen first, and Josh does find a way to fit in and level lead. The story, first of a shoot forwarded series about Chance Fortune, provides a lighthearted, X-men-type junior high gymnasium story. It's light fare and somewhat entertaining, on the contrary the plot isn't that original and the characters aren't that well evolveed Nevertheless, the book will find a readership.
