Latin beat goes to Yale! Magazine

Yale University. upon February 15, 16 and 17 Yale University's Calhoun association in New Haven Connecticut was invaded through the joyful rhythms of Afro-Caribbean music. Latin Beat Magazine publishers Rudy and Yvette Mangual were visitors of Calhoun College, one of the 12 professional gymnasiums that make up the venerable institution of Yale. Dr Jonathan Holloway and his wife, Aisling Colon Holloway entertainered a Master's Tea for the two on Thursday, February 16th, during which they shared their experiences in publishing and the colorful world of Latin music and the arts. The party had actually begun upon Wednesday evening in the Master's house, as furniture was mov music was played, and a beginning salsa dance class was taught by the agency of students Daniella Berman and Jonathan Jimenez, in anticipation of the Friday night Latin jazz and salsa dance contrive to be held in the Dining Hall.

The salsa dance classes continued after the Master's Tea, on the arrival of Rob Bernberg, LB photographer Eddie Aguilar, and beautiful Images models Katiria and Luz the couple residents of Connecticut. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Remo Inc. and Calhoun corporation Friday's event got under way with a Latin percussion workshop taught by the agency of percussionist/bandleader Carlos Gomez, followed by dint of a tres and cuatro workshop by dint of guitarist/bandleader Dr. Ben Lapidus. Following a delicious dinner presented by the college dining staff and outside caterers, the music worked its bewilderments first with local New Haven band, Sonido Unidad, followed by dint of New York City-based band Sonido Isleno and their trademark danceable Latin jazz unhurts Both bands rocked the house to the pleasure of centurys of students and invited visitors till the midnight hour. The scholars were able to forget midterm exams for a scarcely any hours of fun and infectious music. This independent event was made possible through Calhoun College and its staff. Thanks to Dr Jon Holloway, Aisling Colon Joanna Gorman, and all the faculty and learner volunteers and aides.
