From the editorupon February 17, 2006, one of the pivotal pioneers of salsa and Latin jazz passed. We at Latin Beat Magazine had featured Ray Barretto centurys of times in articles upon salsa and jazz, and his expressive features as he played congas had graced our overlays at least twice in 15 years.
